This year, Puerto Rico will celebrate its third annual Restaurant Week from May 14 to May 20, 2014, announced Gustavo Antonetti, President of Kinori Group, the company producing the event. For those of you not familiar with the event, Puerto Rico Restaurant Week is a gastronomic event that offers the unique opportunity to sample the best restaurants on the island at special prices.
High caliber restaurants around the Island will be offering fixed dinner menus for only $28 or $38, which include appetizer, entree and dessert options. For the first time, many of the participating restaurants will also offer fixed lunch menus for $14 or $19. “Unlike other culinary events, Puerto Rico Restaurant Week provides an excellent opportunity to visit a different restaurant every day and receive a full experience for an exclusive price,” said Antonetti.
Puerto Rico Restaurant Week will feature around 40 restaurants across the Island. In tune with the event’s mission, restaurants will continue with the initiative to promote sustainability by using local products whenever possible, thus, supporting the agricultural industry and the local economy.
Another novelty of this year’s edition is the partnership with JetBlue Airways, which along with hotel memberships, helps more tourists visit the island and discover the charm and high quality cuisine of Puerto Rico. In turn, this will bring an increase in the economy during the low tourism season and support PRRW’s mission to continue positioning Puerto Rico as a first class culinary destination.
To participate in Puerto Rico Restaurant Week you just have to make reservations, as space is limited. To make reservations, it is as simple as visiting the event page www.PRrestaurantweek.com, where you will find the participating restaurants and the menus they will be offering.
