Rafael Surillo Ruiz, the mayor of Yabucoa, announced the upcoming celebration of the Food Truck Festival at the Port of Yabucoa, a gastronomic event to delight even the most discerning palate with delicious dishes prepared by experienced artisanal gourmet chefs, all on wheels.
“The Port of Yabucoa once again will serve as the stage for the celebration of an unprecedented event in the East, where experienced chefs will prepare succulent artisanal and gourmet dishes in 11 food trucks, with products harvested in Yabucoa since the Farinaceous Nucleus, the Eastern Farmers Nucleus, the Eastern Cattlemen’s Nucleus, and the Juan Sanchez Fishermen’s Association will supply fresh products for preparation and consumption during this event. We expect the support of the residents of our beloved town of Yabucoa and neighboring towns,” stated Surillo Ruiz in his press release.
In turn, Jessica Morales and Tito Rodríguez from “Gastronomia Urbana Móvil”, organizers of the event, were pleased with the reception the event had with the Mayor. “When we presented the proposal to the Mayor, he was very excited because this type of event helps position Yabucoa as a gastronomic destination and jump starts the economy.”
The Food Truck Festival will be held Sunday September 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Port of Yabucoa, Road PR 9914. The entrance is free of charge. For additional information call (787) 685-4397.
