Lovers of contemporary creole cuisine will have the opportunity to enjoy an exquisite never before celebrated rum pairing dinner on November 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Avocado Cocina Local & Patio Bar in Guaynabo. Alexandra Rivera, Zacapa Rum’s local ambassador, will lead the event and provide a memorable tasting of the luxurious Zacapa 23 Rum and Zacapa XO Rum.
The guests will know first hand the extraordinary characteristics and complexities of this ultra premium rum making it one of the finest in the world. Avocado’s Chef Rene Marichal will surprise the taste buds of those in attendance with a special menu designed exclusively for pairing with Zacapa rum.
The tasting will begin with Cocoyam gnocchi topped with jerked beef. As a second course, the guests will experience the shredded pork skewers with Zacapa Rum BBQ sauce on Yukon mashed potatoes. This course will be followed by a seasonal fish roasted in banana leaf and served with a mango and chayote coleslaw.
