Focusing on refreshing dishes, grilled food, and other gastronomic tendencies of the summer, Plaza las Américas presents its new edition of the Plaza Food Fest: A Gastronomic Experience, which will feature the participation of more than fifty experienced and renowned chefs of Puerto Rico. The event will be held on Sunday, May 17, and will feature a live kitchen located in the central atrium where presentations, workshops, and tastings by chefs will be held, as well as, a competition of the Bartenders Association of Puerto Rico, among other activities.
“On this edition, we will highlight for the first time the appropriate culinary offerings of the summer season,” stated Sarah Colomer, Director of Fairs and Exhibitions of Plaza las Américas. “We have brought together an impressive number of top chefs from around the island who will be in charge of sharing with the public recipes and dishes that they can easily make at home. We invite all food lovers to experience a refreshing, varied, and complete culinary experience at this festival,” said Colomer. “All those in attendance will have the opportunity to personally meet and take photographs with chefs like Chef Enrique Piñero, Chef Roberto Treviño, and Chef Rosita Rosado, among others,” she added.
In addition to live demonstrations on stage, the culinary festival will once again present the “Piña Colada Competition” which will be led by the Association of Bartenders of Puerto Rico, who will also share with the public recipes of exotic drinks for the summer. Moreover, the festival will feature the participation of several wine experts who will provide perfect pairings for the dishes being prepared.
