il Nuovo Perugino Enoteca, located in the heart of Hato Rey at Popular Center, is an ideal location for an after-work drink and bar bite. And who doesn’t love happy hour anyway?! It’s the perfect way to unwind with friends and colleagues after a stressful day and always a great excuse to celebrate.
The ‘Ora Felice’ at il Perugino takes places Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 7PM. Choose from a selection of 3 cocktails, prosecco (rosé or white) and red or wine white by the glass. The prosecco and wines are imported directly from Italy by the in-house distribution company and exclusive to il Perugino. The happy hour selections are all 2 for 1! Cocktails include the Nere Basilico, made with whiskey and basil, the Brooklyn Gun a well-balanced beverage with bourbon, sweet vermouth, bitters and basil syrup and the Rosemary Collins, crafted with lime and rosemary syrup is wonderfully refreshing. Make sure to pair your beverage with one of the succulent bar bites that include mini burgers with Gorgonzola and caramelized onions, a perfect sweet and savory combination. Baby calamari, salmon rillete and croquettes are also on the menu.
After happy hour is over, stay for dinner and try the new menu. Inspired by the summer season, Executive Chef Luz Ferreira and Chef Carlos Díaz have created several noteworthy dishes. Don’t miss the fresh ravioli with chicken liver, spinach and truffles. For seafood lovers, the swordfish with sweet pea sauce and prosciutto cracklings is a must. Perfectly grilled octopus with fennel salad, tomatoes in a roasted garlic vinaigrette and veal Carpaccio with ricotta flan and truffle oil are also on the menu.
This summer, il Perugino is also offering a 4-course prix-fixe menu for $39 that’s available Thursday through Saturday evenings. Diners will receive a 4.5% discount off their ticket to help lessen the burden of the new tax {discount taken before taxes}. Every Wednesday, there is no corkage fee.
