AgroHack, the annual summit for the advancement of agriculture as a sustainable source of growth and economic development in Puerto Rico was held on May 13, 2017. Over 1,000 people attended the event designed to connect people with ideas to advance local agriculture with larger players in the industry which can bring these ideas to life. It brought together industry makers and shakers who realize that Puerto Rico’s future lies in agriculture. The informative conferences touched on important topics such as how to finance your business, new farming methods, medical marihuana, and up-and-coming agricultural technologies, just to name a few.
One of our favorite places during the conference was the AgroMarket where you had everything from local vendors selling their fresh produce to providers of renewable energy systems. We managed to bring home a few goodies! We had a blast at the event and can’t wait to see what next year’s edition of Agrohack has in store.
