Red Mango, the number one frozen yogurt chain in the United States, is coming to Puerto Rico to open five locations within the next six months. Their first store in Puerto Rico will also be among the first worldwide to feature an expanded “cafe restaurant” concept and is set to open in January at Plaza Puerto Rico (in front of the Interamerican University) in Rio Piedras.
“The franchise offers a product that is completely different than the ones present in the current local market. It is the only one that is 100% natural. The “café restaurant” concept will also offer an additional menu made with healthy and natural ingredients,” said Mario Alverio Dominguez, CEO of Good For You Franchise, LLC, the firm responsible for Red Mango’s launch in Puerto Rico. “The focus of Red Mango is to provide, besides its natural yogurt, other alternatives in their menu such as freshly squeezed juice, natural smoothies, sandwiches and wraps, with excellent flavor and below 500 calories,” added Alverio.
Its founder, Dan Kim, opened his first store in the United States on July 2007. Since then, Red Mango has grown to more than 250 locations throughout the United States, and 10 international locations in Mexico, El Salvador, and Uruguay. Red Mango has also received numerous industry awards for quality.
